Onsite Diagnostic Laboratory Testing
We are proud to offer onsite veterinary diagnostic laboratory testing. Laboratory testing during a wellness visit provides baseline information, which is valuable in rapid and early detection of health concerns. We provide options and treatments to keep your pet healthy. Many of our standard diagnostic tests can be evaluated while you wait, or within the day of your visit. Our common laboratory tests include:
- Blood chemistry panel
- Complete blood count
- Fecal examination
- Urinalysis
- Radiographs (x-rays)
- Heartworm and tick borne disease tests
- Feline leukemia and FIV tests
- Thyroid tests
- Cytology
- Fine needle aspirates
Reference Laboratories
In veterinary diagnostic care, accurate test results are just the beginning. While Atlantic Animal Health Center offers on site diagnostics, some tests cannot be performed in the clinic. When your pet has a special need, we use reference laboratories for more unique or complex lab tests.
Radiology (x-ray)
Radiology is an important diagnostic tool for viewing

- Stomach, intestines, and colon
- Lungs and heart
- Bladder, spleen, and kidneys
Signs of Illness
We recommend routine wellness visits to check and monitor your pet’s health. Between visits, contact us if you recognize any changes in your pet’s normal routine. You know your pet best, and early detection ensures the best possible treatment outcome. We are available to answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding your pet’s health or our diagnostic, surgical, or onsite laboratory offerings.
